Community Fundraising Manager

Location: Dublin

Contract: Full Time, Permanent

The Community Fundraising Manager will play a pivotal role within Focus Ireland’s national Community Fundraising Team. This role will be responsible for overseeing the operational delivery of community fundraising activity, ensuring the team functions with maximum efficiency, delivers consistent income and supporter growth, and meets agreed key performance indicators

What you will do:


Operational Management:

  • Monitor and report on all community fundraising income streams, ensuring activity is tracked and projected against targets.

  • Develop quarterly and annual plans in partnership with the Head of Community Fundraising.

  • Identify areas of opportunity and risk across income lines, adjusting plans proactively.

  • Manage and update income trackers, CRM systems, and financial reports with accuracy and timeliness.

  • Ensure that best-in-class operational practices are maintained across community fundraising activities.

Supervision & Team Management:

  • Directly supervise and support Community Fundraising team members, including work planning, goal setting, training, and performance reviews.

  • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous learning within the team.

  • Provide coaching and development opportunities to strengthen individual and team capacity.

Schools Engagement:

  • Lead the development and delivery of the nationwide Schools Fundraising Programme.

  • Create and oversee annual schools fundraising calendar and growth plan.

  • Build strong relationships with schools and educational networks to drive engagement and repeat participation.

  • Monitor performance of schools fundraising activity and generate regular reports and analysis.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Work in close partnership with the Head of National Community Fundraising to ensure alignment with overall fundraising strategy.

  • Collaborate with digital/branding, campaigns, and supporter care teams to ensure seamless supporter journeys.

  • Act as an ambassador for Focus Ireland at events, school presentations, and stakeholder meetings as required.

Financial Management:

  • Monitor budgets and expenditure, ensuring activity is cost-effective and delivers strong ROI.

  • Manage processing of income, banking, acknowledgements, and CRM data in line with organisational procedures.

  • Provide monthly income reports, variance analysis, and forecasting to the Head of National Community Fundraising.

Compliance & Governance:

  • Ensure all activity complies with fundraising best practice, GDPR, and charity legislation.

  • Maintain accurate supporter and financial records on CRM.

What you will need:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in fundraising, income generation, or operations management.

  • Experience managing or supervising staff, with strong management and mentoring skills.

  • Strong organisational and planning ability, with excellent attention to detail.

  • Experience monitoring income, managing budgets, and producing reports.

  • Excellent relationship management skills.

  • Highly proficient in MS Office and CRM systems.

  • Full clean driver’s licence and access to transport.

  • Flexibility to work some evenings/weekends as required.

  • Third-level qualification in business, fundraising, community development or marketing. ( Desirable)
